Chenin Blanc is a French white wine varietal from the Lorie Valley, France.
Chenin Blanc has part of its roots from the Sauvignon Blanc but with a uniqueness that sets its apart. The winemaker wanted to show off this varietal as part of our purpose of learning about great new wine varietals. This expression of Chenin has bright citrus and minerality notes on the palate with aromas of Lychee and white peach fruits. The balanced acid profile of this wine makes it crispy but not over the top. Grown in one of the best supporting appellations in California, this fruit is hard to come by and in high demand. We hope you enjoy it!
The winemaker recommends pairing this wine with cooked salmon, lemon chicken, and even sushi! Adding this wine as a complement to a fresh greens salad with fresh fruit is also an amazing option!
